Removal, dismantling, assemblage and installation of forward power shafts

The bearing of a nave of a wheel can be damaged under car weight, for example at movement of the car with the removed power shafts, therefore in this case it is necessary to use the special adaptation. After a detachment of power shafts from naves work accurately not to damage gear rotors of gauges of speed ABS, located on shaft.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove a corresponding forward wheel.
  2. Lower ATF, having turned out from АТ a drain stopper.
  3. Remove a casing of a wheel arch.
  4. Turn out a bolt and remove the gauge of speed ABS.
  5. Take a pin, remove fixing cap and give ступичную a power shaft nut, having squeezed out a brake pedal.
  6. Disconnect a tip of steering draught from a rotary fist (the Suspension bracket and a steering see the Head).
  7. Disconnect the bottom spherical support from the bottom lever of a suspension bracket (the Suspension bracket and a steering see the Head).
  8. Accurately, trying not to damage a cover and a rotor of the gauge of speed ABS, beat out a hammer with soft brisk a power shaft from a nave, delaying a nave outside.
  1. By means of the special adaptation remove a power shaft.

Do not damage a protective cover and пыльник.

  1. Installation is made upside-down. Tighten fixture with demanded efforts. Pay attention to following moments:
    • Grease трансмиссионным with oil interfaced surfaces of a shaft of the internal hinge of equal angular speeds (SHRUS) and the differential case;
    • Before power shaft installation establish on it a sealing ring rupture downwards;
    • After power shaft installation make sure available its free course 2 ÷ 3 mm of an axial direction;
    • After power shaft installation make sure that it cannot be taken out a hand, without the special adaptation.
    • After installation check up serviceability of functioning of gauges ABS, and also check up and if necessary adjust corners of installation of forward wheels.

Dismantling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check up power shafts:
    • They should not have excessively big люфта;
    • Make sure of smoothness of movement of internal SHRUS in a support direction;
    • Make sure of absence excessively big люфта internal SHRUS in a radial direction;
    • Check up protective covers on presence of damages.
  2. By means of a screw-driver remove 2 collars of a protective cover of an internal SHRUS and shift it to an external SHRUS.
  1. Put adjusting labels on shaft of internal and external SHRUS.

Do not put a label a chisel.

  1. Remove a screw-driver a lock ring and disconnect a shaft of an internal SHRUS from a shaft of an external SHRUS.
  1. Put labels on a shaft of an external SHRUS and on both holders.
  1. Turn out 6 bolts and shift an external holder in a direction to an external SHRUS.
  2. Remove a lock ring by means of a stripper and by means of a hammer and a pig from soft metal remove an internal holder, trying not to damage it.
  3. Remove an external holder.
  4. Remove a protective cover of an internal SHRUS.
  5. By means of pincers or flat-nose pliers remove two collars of a protective cover of an external SHRUS and then remove a cover.
  6. Remove пыльник from a shaft of an internal SHRUS: on left to a shaft – by means of a screw-driver and a hammer, and on right – by means of a special stripper, having clamped a shaft in a vice.
  7. By means of a stripper remove an external lock ring and a shaft of an internal SHRUS.
  8. Fix a shaft of an external SHRUS in a vice with soft sponges and by means of a screw-driver and a hammer remove from a shaft пыльник №2, trying not to damage a rotor of the gauge of speed ABS.

Assemblage

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Напрессуйте new пыльник №2 on a shaft.
  1. Establish a new external lock ring on a shaft of an internal SHRUS.
  2. Напрессуйте on a shaft new пыльник.
  3. Temporarily establish new covers of SHRUS with new collars.

Before installation of protective covers wind шлицы a shaft of an external SHRUS with a vinyl tape to prevent their damage. Collars establish on covers before their installation.

  1. Establish on a shaft of an external SHRUS an external holder.

The party with smaller diameter should be turned to an external SHRUS.

  1. Level labels on an internal holder and on a shaft then it is accurate напрессуйте it on a shaft by means of a hammer and a pig from soft metal.
  2. Establish a new lock ring of the bearing.
  3. Level labels on external holders and establish an external holder on the internal. Establish 6 balls.
  4. Fill 115 ÷ 135 г yellow greasing in a cover of an external SHRUS and establish a cover on a shaft of an external SHRUS.
  5. Fill 95 ÷ 115 г grey greasing in a cover of an internal SHRUS and establish a cover on a shaft of an internal SHRUS.
  6. Combine labels on shaft of external and internal SHRUS and connect shaft.
  7. Establish a new lock ring and temporarily establish a cover on a shaft of an internal SHRUS.
  1. Make sure, that covers have entered into grooves on shaft, and also in absence of deformation of covers at standard length of a power shaft.
  1. Fix covers on shaft new collars: a cover of an internal SHRUS – by means of a screw-driver, and a cover of an external SHRUS – by means of the special adaptation.
  1. Check up backlashes in locks of collars and if necessary adjust them.
  1. Check up a power shaft.
