Checks of components of a steering
The description of check of level of liquid ГУР is resulted in Section Check of levels of liquids, the control of leaks. The description of some other checks of components of a steering is resulted in Section Check of a condition of components of a suspension bracket and a steering.
Check of hydraulic lines ГУР

|
- Simultaneously with check of level of liquid ГУР it is necessary to check and its condition – in a liquid should not be air vials. If necessary remove air, operating as follows:
- Поддомкратьте the car also establish it on props;
- At the switched off engine smoothly turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop some times;
- Lower the car on the earth and start the engine;
- Turn a steering wheel in one of the parties against the stop and keep it in this position during 2 ÷ 3 with. Then turn a steering wheel in other party and again keep it in this position during 2 ÷ 3 with. Repeat the operation described above some times.
- Muffle the engine and again check up level of liquid ГУР.
- Measure level of liquid ГУР at the engine working on single turns.
- Muffle the engine, wait about 5 minutes and again measure level of liquid ГУР (it should raise).
- If the difference of levels makes more than 5 mm, pump over hydraulic system GUR.

- Disconnect a delivery tube from the steering mechanism and connect to it the special adaptation with a manometre.
|
|
|
Make sure, that the valve of the special adaptation is opened. |
- Pump over air from ГУР.
- Start the engine and turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop some times. It pressure increase in lines ГУР and rise in temperature of liquid ГУР to 80 hailstones is reached.
- At the engine working on single turns open the valve of the special adaptation and consider indications of its manometre. Compare the received result to requirements of Specifications of the Head the Suspension bracket and a steering.
Check of pressure of liquid ГУР at the closed valve

Do not hold the valve closed more than 10 with; do not suppose excess of temperature of liquid ГУР. |
- Open valve SST and at the working engine measure pressure upon 1000 rpm and 3000 rpm. Calculate a difference of pressure and compare the received result to requirements of Specifications of the Head the Suspension bracket and a steering.

Do not turn a steering wheel at the given check. |
- At the engine working on single turns and the open valve turn a steering wheel against the stop and consider manometre indications. Compare the received result to requirements of Specifications of the Head the Suspension bracket and a steering.

Do not hold a steering wheel in extreme position more than 10 with; do not suppose excess of temperature of liquid ГУР. |
- Disconnect the special adaptation, connect a delivery tube and pump over air from ГУР.

Steering wheel check
|
|
- Establish forward wheels in position of rectilinear movement.
- Check up a free course of a steering wheel – it should be no more than 30 mm.
- Establish a steering wheel in position of rectilinear movement and remove a steering wheel overlay.
- Start the engine, measure effort of turn of a steering wheel in both directions and compare it to requirements of Specifications of the Head the Suspension bracket and a steering.
- Tighten a nut of fastening of a steering wheel with effort of 50 Nanometers and establish its overlay.

Check of blocking of a steering column
|
|

- Make sure of serviceability of functioning of blocking of a steering column and if necessary replace the cylinder of the lock of ignition.

- For this purpose establish the ignition key in position «ACC», squeeze out a lock pin and take the lock cylinder. Will put the new lock of ignition.
