Safety locks - the general information

The most part of safety locks and the relay is located on considered cars in the assembly block located at the left under the panel of devices. The second assembly block of the relay and safety locks is placed in an impellent compartment, near to the storage battery, and equipped by a demountable cover. And, at last, safety lock DRL settles down in the block of the relay №3.

Each separate safety lock is used for protection of any concrete electric contour or at once several contours.

In assembly blocks the safety locks of a compact design equipped with bayonet contacts, and if necessary easily taken by fingers from the nests in the block are used. At refusal any of electric power consumers first of all always it is necessary to check up a condition of a corresponding safety lock. Include ignition and by means of a lamp-sampler probe open plugs of each of safety locks. If the lamp lights up at connection to each of plugs, hence, a safety lock as it should be. If pressure takes place only from food giving, means, the safety lock has fused. We will notice also, that usually the safety lock case is made of transparent plastic through which it is easy to define a condition of a working crosspiece.

At replacement of the fused safety lock strictly watch that the prepared replaceable element corresponded on type failed. Calculated on various nominal force of a current safety locks physically can differ nothing from each other, not being thus interchangeable. Each of electric chains has various working parametres and replacement of the safety lock calculated on certain force of a current requires various degree of protection, therefore, a safety lock with mismatching parametres is fraught with the most serious consequences (up to fire occurrence). Working parametres of a safety lock are usually designated on its plastic case, colour identification besides, is in addition used.

If the new safety lock after installation also fails at once, it is not meaningful to make its further replacement, - before it is necessary to reveal and eliminate the reason of occurrence of an overload in a chain. In most cases that appears the short circuit of connecting electroconducting caused by damage of its isolation. Spare safety locks usually are located in free колодках the assembly block.
